Extended Theme Description:

Zinmag Tribune is a magazine/newspaper theme that has been designed with a number of features that people are looking for in an advanced, free theme.

The header supports a wide array of page links, as they span across the entire width of the page. Your header is displayed beneath this, with the current date, a text-based header (you can remove or customize the image above it), along with subscription links for news, comments, and through email to the right.

A drop-down menu is displayed below, which makes it easier for showcasing sub-categories. Following this is a scrolling news area, which automatically scrolls through some of your content, along with the appropriate thumbnails.

A “Headlines Today” area is ideal for placing larger, more focused content with a large image (650×250 pixels). An excerpt from the post is displayed on top of the image, in the bottom portion.

The theme then splits off into multiple columns, utilizing post thumbnails as well as excerpts.

Moving over to the sidebar, there is a Featured Video area, space for advertisements, a custom-designed search box, tabbed area for Popular Posts, Archives, and Recent Posts. Again, the theme splits off into two more columns, ideal for placing more brief content such as links.

All-in-all, the theme does have a lot of good things going for it. Combined with a good color scheme, making it perfect for someone that wants a more news-like blog, it has many features and options. The one area that I would likely change if I installed it on my site would be to remove or change the scrolling box near the header due to errors in other browsers, and I would also cut down on the number of thumbnails, due to the fact that some posts don’t require the addition of a thumbnail.
