Extended Theme Description:
The Vanilla Sky Theme, designed by Blog Oh Blog, is an excellent theme for people who want a magazine-type site but do not want to have to deal with a lot of extra coding. Taking a look at the theme, you’ll find it extremely clean and well organized.
At the top of the main page, you’ll find the customary elements – a logo/title area, area for placing pages, a search box and additional links – “Skip to Content,” “Login,” and “Contact,” although they can certainly be customized when you use the theme.
Popular content is to the left, with “Featured Content” in the middle, and another area for widgets to the right. Personally, I don’t feel this theme would be able to handle a lot of content, as it doesn’t place enough emphasis on your latest content, however it was really never meant to do that anyway.
Additional widget-ready areas are found towards the bottom of the page, ideal if you have extra content.
Overall, the theme includes everything you need to get started right after downloading. You don’t have to learn how to insert the HTML elements, as they have already been coded for you. It makes a great theme for magazine-type sites as well as blogs.
