The Purple Fever Theme, once a premium theme, has now been released for free, which was designed by Zidalgo.

Purple Fever is a two column, widget-ready theme designed for people who want to “establish a lasting impact with visitors.”  It features a somewhat magazine-theme appeal to it, as there is a featured content box, tabbed area, and short excerpts from select categories.

In my opinion, the theme is well-styled but requires some editing and images to be added before it looks complete, as seen in the demo, some images are missing.

Each post has social bookmarking links embedded, a link to subscribe to the RSS feed, and next/previous post links.  The footer is three columns, ideal for placing links to your blogroll sites, related sites, and an “About” section.

Overall, the Purple Fever theme is a high quality, professional theme designed for nearly anyone/any site that needs a makeover, and requires a lot of content to be placed on the main page.
