Extended Theme Description:
Papercut is a grungy theme designed for people who want a beautiful theme that is ready to use right out of the box with built-in widgets, layout control via a custom-made theme panel.
The theme includes five different, unique color schemes for changing the background image automatically form your theme back-end panel. You are also able to customize many of the other features, including banners from the theme customization panel.
When you take an in-depth look at the theme, there is an extremely functional and flexible header area, allowing you to place description text beneath each link/page, which may increase the amount of traffic to pages and categories that normally wouldn’t be visited. In addition to the good styling of the links, you can easily integrate your RSS feed URL in the header, through use of the built-in RSS feed area.
The sidebar features a space for the extremely popular and de facto standard of blog advertising formats – the 125×125 pixel banner ad. By default, there are a few elements that are pre-styled, allowing for better styling of the About, Search, Featured News, Flickr Photos, and Recent Comments areas.
Beneath the main/featured post, you can place a 468×60 banner advertisement, followed by post excerpts from select categories, making this is a magazine-style theme, however you could just as easily customize this area to display only full posts, possibly through the theme customization panel.
There are very few caveats to using the theme, as everything is well styled and ready to use out of the box.
