NewsPress is a premium news theme, designed by the WooThemes team. The theme was designed for sites that want to place content at the forefront of their site, with multiple features built-in, which create a site that is easier to manage and allows more content to be distributed to readers.
At a first glance, the theme is well-designed, utilizing multiple shades of gray and orange for the most part, and allows your brand to stand out. It is a mix between a personal blog and more content-heavy magazine-style layout, offering more value to bloggers who would like to display their content in a professional manner.
On the right-hand side of the page the theme uses tabs for showcasing popular posts, comments, featured content, and a tag cloud, as a default layout. Below area is space for placing a recent video(s). Further down, the column divides into three for categories, archives, and related sites. A second area for three banner ads is located below this.
Despite the theme’s ability to showcase a lot of content, it manages to do it in a clean and elegant fashion.
