Extended Theme Description:

MyWeblog is an advanced theme with plenty of features to help get your new blog off on the right foot. While the theme may be personal in nature, it is also powerful and has become a popular favorite at WooThemes already. In addition to the already well-designed theme, you can easily customize it using their custom back-end editing panel.

The theme features a rather wide header in addition to a clearly defined navigation area. It might not be that complex, which might be a drawback for some, while others will find it easier to use, especially for their visitors. Because they are drop-down, you can add many categories, pages, and posts (through customization) to take control of your blog’s navigation structure.

To the right of your header is an area for your tagline, which will typically be inserted automatically. A search box and links to “stay updated” through RSS are beneath the navigation bar.

The main content area combines a magazine and blog layout, meaning that the theme isn’t entirely magazine, but consists of multiple elements. With some coding and design changes, you could make the theme into nearly any type you want, still sticking with their main structure.

Categories are color-coded (alternating as you head down the page) and this makes it easy if you do want to take advantage of this feature. Throughout much of the theme, there are areas for placing your tweets from Twitter, links to popular posts, and other media sites, such as Flickr. A large portion of WooThemes’ themes contain these features, but nonetheless, it is good to see them integrated by default.

Additional features may be less prominent, with custom, built-in pages and all the traditional features that you find in WordPress themes. It has been tested to be compatible with the most recent version of WordPress and many of the new features found in WordPress (like threaded comments and Gravatars) have been integrated into the theme.

All in all, you can’t really go wrong with this theme. There are many features both for bloggers and people who want to simply promote their content online. It makes it extremely easy to do that through the back-end panel and set of easy-to-use features found within the theme.
