The Magazine News Theme from Brad Mahaffey and Art Culture. When you think about magazine themes, you first think about themes that are hard to edit and customize to your liking, however the Magazine News theme changes that whole misconception.
From the start, the theme is beautifully well designed, with a featured article taking up the entire page width, page links and a search box integrated into the top of the theme. By default and in the preview, there is a single post with post excerpts in a table/block format below, allowing more space to be used for the sidebar and footer.
Moving over to the sidebar, you can place an “About” statement, subscription links, then take advantage of the remaining two columns of sidebar space. The footer is ideal for placing Categories, a Blogroll, links to other sites in your niche, and another FAQ/About statement.
Personally, I don’t like the background image use of the advertisement and “About” areas, as they don’t specifically suit the theme well. However, this is one of the only changes besides some other customization if I chose to purchase the theme.
As a professional magazine theme, you will be able to easily grow your readership and profit ratio, as your previously dull blog will be transformed into a portal site using the theme.
