The Industrial Theme from iThemes is yet another excellent theme for business owners. iThemes has effectively leveraged both the need of people to create business websites with the power of the WordPress system to deliver both quality and affordable themes.
While the themes in this particular series are also for businesses, much like the title - “Industrial”, they are meant to be used for larger businesses that need more in the ways of content management.
Beginning with the top of the theme, I like the layout of the search box, logo image and textual header that is already in place. The top header is what sells the theme, creating an attractive look for any business site. Further down the page, there is a drop-down navigation menu for displaying sub-pages. There is a tabbed area at the top of the content area, which displays a welcome message, “recent news”, “from the blog”, and recent comments. Moving over to the sidebar areas, you will be able to place more content and links to inside pages.
The only small gripe that I see in the them is a small white bar (1-3 pixels) in width on the right side of the page in the Safari browser, which is fairly obvious when you compare it to the left side of the page, flush with the background shadow.
Finalizing the thoughts on the Industrial theme, the archives page is styled without needing to use alternative plugins or create your own archives page, saving a ton of time, especially when your main focus is on your business. The theme is reminiscent of a few of the Revolution Themes, and was possibly created in part by the lead designer of those themes, but this theme has been targeted towards owners of larger industries.
Support: Like all the other themes from iThemes, support can either be attained by watching one of their quality videos or directly emailing them.
