GraphPaperPress has recently released a new theme in their lineup of simple, highly optimized and specialized themes, titled High-Def.
The theme has been designed as a minimalist video and multimedia theme for people that want to showcase videos on their website using the WordPress content management system.
In the header of the theme, a textual title is displayed, along with your tagline, plus a drop-down navigation menu and search box are also displayed within this area. Just beneath this, there is an Apple-like scrolling bar for placing videos and post images in, with thumbnails that generate automatically based on the images that you upload. This allows you to showcase posts from specified categories here.
A main (latest) post is displayed in the main content area, with post excerpts displayed beneath this. Videos can expand to full-width and high resolution using the video plugin that is installed within the theme.
Below the main post, there is a space for placing an advertisement as well as in the sidebar, making it easy to implement ads on your website. The sidebar also features a fully widget-ready backend panel, making it easy to customize the layout and options displayed on the theme.
Finally, the footer of the theme consists of a three column layout, which is ideal for placing blogroll links, recent comments, meta data or any other related content.
