Fresh News Theme from WooThemes (Previously Premium News Themes) is an extremely well-styled, attractive, and organized theme for creating a news site with social media content including Flickr photos and YouTube/Flash videos.
Beginning at the top of the theme (in all color options), there is a simple navigation menu to the left, while there are subscription links for Posts, Comments, and Email, so visitors can keep up-to-date with multiple feed options. Below this is a space for your header and a search box, plus a drop-down navigational menu.
A few posts display semi-full, while others are laid out in a split column format, a method that is becoming more rampant from designers.
The sidebar (from top to bottom): advertisement block, tabbed area for Popular posts, Comments, Featured posts, and Tags, Latest Videos, Asides, Latest Flickr Photos, Advertisement (125×125) space, Recent Posts, Color Schemes (changeable), and finally, Categories. This is just a sample of what you can place in the sidebar, as the default theme provided by the designer can serve as a good indication of what type of content should be placed there.
After the brief overview, anyone can easily see the high quality thought and time that was put into developing the theme - from the tiny icons beside the “Continue reading…” links to the wide range of back-end options that transform your site on the front end.
