Extended Theme Description:
F8 Static is a free WordPress theme from Graph Paper Press. From what I see on the front-end, this theme is nearly to some of the other premium themes available.
Unlike contrary belief, this theme doesn’t feature all the benefits of the premium version; there is no “More Inside” area, less back-end options and flexibility, as well as less support.
However, when you take a look at the theme as a whole, many of the features that exist in the premium version, f8, this theme also integrates, including Galleria support.
The reason that this theme is titled “Static” is because it was primarily created to showcase one photo gallery and use the other areas for posts, and features one, non-rotating large image on the front page with a transparent text overlay. With some editing, you can customize this theme to use a rotating image script on the main page or add some of the features the premium version has, but it may be wroth the time and hassle to upgrade to the premium version.
Background: F8 is a technical term referring to the lens aperture setting on a camera, and this theme was based on the need of the designer to have an attractive, manageable photography and portfolio website.
