Extended Theme Description:
Chimera Pro is an advanced WordPress theme from Theme Spinner, which features a set of options unparalleled to other themes in the same class. Some of the prominent features of the theme include the featured content slider area and advertisement-optimized sidebars.
The main difference between the “standard” and “pro” versions of the theme is in the price and small variations in the theme including the featured content area, color changer, and more advanced features.
Taking a general overview of the theme, the theme consists of a gray/silver header with an integrated search box near the top of the page, navigation menu and color changer in the following bar, followed by the main content areas – sidebars and featured content slider. Beneath the content slider, the content is divided into a two/one column layout, meaning there are two post excerpts (latest articles) followed by a full-width (most recent) content.
On individual posts, you can place a banner or AdSense at the top of each post, which is followed by the post title, a Gravatar from the author, number of comments, as well as the last updated date. Towards the footer of each post, there is a link to comment and subscribe to the posts, with a “similar posts” area. In my opinion, the comments area, including the form, is styled better than many other themes.
Because this is a three column magazine-styled theme, it may not be ideal for everyone. However, it would make the perfect match for any site specializing in content produced everyday – gossip, news, technology, or related websites. The Chimera Pro Theme sells for $59 for a single-use license and $109 for a multiple site license.
