The CelebrityPress Theme, first released on July 10th, is an elegant and sexy theme designed for WordPress users who want to convert their site to a celebrity/gossip/music/movies/lifestyle/etc. magazine site.
A few of the countless features include a random video rotator, customizable options (everything from the menus to your logo to the advertisements), plus two different color combinations and background samples. Screenshots of the options panel can be found on the purchase page.
The theme allows you to (nearly) instantly transform your standard WordPress theme into a glamorous website specifically for publishing news on celebrities and gossip. On the homepage, as in the demo versions of the theme, you can place “Best of the Week”, a “Photo Gallery”, Flickr photo stream, main (recent) news, tags, subscription links, random videos (YouTube and other Flash videos), polls, and of course, advertisements, to help you generate revenue from your website.
Taking a more in-depth look at the theme, the header portion consists of a drop-down navigation menu, newsletter subscription box/RSS feed link, and search box. Weekly and featured content is shown in the left sidebar, recent content/popular news and additional navigation links (tags) are shown in the middle, and videos, polls, and advertisement links are shown in the right-most sidebar. Finally, the three-column footer contains navigation and subscription links, as well as an area to place your contact information
Some of the many banner advertisement/AdSense options include a 728×90 banner ad in the header, four (more or less) 125×125 banner ads in the sidebar, and a 300×250 pixel banner ad block at the footer of the third column. Version 1.7 (August 01, 2008) - Allows multiple categories for Best of the Week and Main Posts areas, no more “one category” posts on homepage. You do not need to setup the sub-navigation bar, so an empty background will show up as soon as you activate the site without the need to setup categories as sub-navigation. In addition, a bug was fixed on the tags page.
