Extended Theme Description:
Caulk is a well-organized, professional theme built from the ground up to make it easy to blog and create a magazine-styled blog. While you can certainly create a powerful site with the theme, it also gives you the option to scale-down your site to be a personal site.
At the top of the theme, you’ll notice that there is a large area that scrolls through your featured and popular articles. In addition, you can place two articles within this area for “sticky” posts. This is ideal if you run a larger blog and want to feature two articles that are still gaining popularity, but may not be quite relevant enough to place in the featured article section.
While there aren’t drop-down menus integrated into the theme, there are essentially two levels to the navigation structure. This area is ideal for placing both page and category/tag links, depending on how you setup or customize the theme.
Quickly moving over to the sidebar, you’ll find a small subscription area beneath the search box, a spot for placing banner ads, and your latest tweets, all displayed neatly in the sidebar. Recent comments, another ad section, and random posts are also displayed within this area. Note that this is just on the demo, but serves as an example of how you could layout your content.
The footer features four main areas, ideal for links and additional information about your site or business.
Posts are styled typically like many other magazine WordPress themes, although a clean related posts feature displayed beneath the post (as it is no longer at the top), as well as three links for quick sharing across the three most popular social networking sites.
