While the header of the theme may draw in new visitors, the look of the rest of the theme may not be there. It has been converted from a WordPress theme, but still lacks some of the styling found in some of the more professional themes available.

Several social features have been integrated into the theme or can be added by following the documentation provided. While the theme is clean, it would have been nice if the demo really showed what is possible with the theme. For example, there is only a little text, and comments really aren’t shown.

One of the prominent features of the theme is the built-in social stream, which brings together content from a variety of websites associated with your brand or community.

At the top of the page/theme, there is space for a featured post, which will be created when you follow the basic instructions provided within the release post. The look of this area is fairly unique, although it would be nice if the post content wasn’t cut off.

Beneath this, all your posts will be displayed in excerpt format, in order to conserve space and display more content on the main page. Read more, comment, and category links have been integrated into this area on the main page.

Within the sidebar, there is space for an “About Us” message, links to your RSS feed as well as your Twitter/social networking sites. Advertisements can also be integrated into this area, ideal if you want to monetize your site. A tabbed area has been placed beneath this, ideal for categories, latest comments, or recent posts, all depending on what type of content you want to integrate here.

The footer is large and can display popular posts, latest tweets, a search box, as well as your latest Flickr photos.

Multiple widget-ready areas have been built into the theme, beginning with the sidebar, as well as the footer, homepage footer, and on the 404 template. These make it easy to add your own content to your site without editing the code.

While I don’t have any major problems with the theme, I have some personal issues with the color scheme. I understand that it is/was a HMTL/CSS/JS template, but it would have been nice if multiple color schemes would have been included. Otherwise, it will be up to the user to customize it. The green/black look can certainly work for some sites, but as shown in the comments area on individual posts, the font clashes with the overall look of the theme (making them harder to read).

Other than the minor cosmetic issues (a personal preference), the theme does have some great features and will make it easy to promote your latest posts on the front page, ideal if you are tired of “boring” blog designs with content that can quickly disappear from focus.

Despite the fact that the the theme suits a rather “ordinary” purpose, it is ideal for anyone who wants to make an impact online. Twitter and lifestream integration has been built into the theme, as well as a number of other features, which can be customized easily using the built-in theme framework.

Additionally, the theme is clean and well-organized. While no PSD file is included, it can still be customized to your liking, provided you know a little about CSS and XHTML.

On the main page, you’ll discover a large featured image, along with a slideshow of your other promoted products. While the demonstration of the theme (already setup) has a clean look, there is a little too much wasted space with the “featured” product, so this can be customized to your liking by adding more text or reducing the size of this space. Again, this is just my opinion of the front page.

However, on the inner pages, the theme features an ideal layout for promoting everything you may be selling. Related/other products are displayed beneath the product listed on single pages. A blog area has also been integrated, ideal for explaining or promoting your products, as well as updating your customers.

The theme is clean and elegant – on the main page, a featured content slideshow is included to help you promote your latest work and projects, as well as space for text about yourself, your business, and your latest blog posts. This area is widget-ready and can easily be customized to suit your needs.

Taking a look at the portfolio page, this is the ideal spot for placing your latest projects. A list of categories displays across the top of the page, along with information beneath each image about the project.

While several options have been included in the theme, this is not the theme for people who want to build complete sites without making some major modifications. It doesn’t have the framework built-in, but still works great for anyone who wants to get a portfolio site and blog up without any hassles.
