Extended Theme Description:

The Base Dark Theme, designed by Cobus Bester, is a modification of the original Base theme which, much like the name states, is a dark version of the theme.

Many of the same features of the original theme (listed below) are included in this version, but this modification lacks the completely clean look of the original.  Although the theme is black in nature, it is fairly easy to read and doesn’t produce an enormous amount of eye strain.

In the sidebar, there are subscription links, a styled search box, and Flickr photostream integration.

All in all, this is a fairly clean theme, ideal for mainly personal blogs looking for a simple, black theme.

Installation: The typical install process is followed for installing the theme, although you may need to style a few of the elements, such as pullquotes, in order for them to display correctly (they are pre-built into the code).
