Extended Theme Description:
Arthemia is a free, premium-inspired WordPress theme from ColorLabs Project. Not only is it one of the most elegant, yet simple magazine themes, it contains everything that a WordPress blogger would want to have in a theme. He is currently using a modified version of the theme on his personal blog.
The main purpose of creating the theme was to make it not a complete “magazine” nor a “blog”, but a combination of both. The main page displays the headline and a featured post, with an image to go along with the post. A blue and black category bar is displayed in the middle of the page for categories and navigational purposes. Nearing the bottom of the page is an area for highlighting your most popular and recent posts.
Additional Features:
- Drop-down menu in header – black with blue hover color.
- Automatic Image Resizing – A PHP script automatically resizes the thumbnail image, from Darren Hoyt. You can take advantage of the feature simply by uploading an image, and the thumbnail is added.
- Theme utilizes several plugins from Lester Chan to extend the functionality of the theme.
- Designed for WordPress 2.5, and you must make modifications if you wish to use it in versions down to 2.3. Theme has been tested in various browsers with no compatibility issues.
- Installing is extremely simple – using the basic process.
- Widget ready
- Negative: For users that don’t like customizing themes, you must know how to find category IDs and be able to input thumbnails in the Custom Fields. Other than those small areas, the theme has been built with little maintenance after the theme is initially set up.
Note: There is also a secondary, no headline and featured section, download available for using the theme as a typical weblog.
Update: On August 2, 2008, Version 2.0 of the theme was released, which provides updates to the front page, CSS problems, added automatic thumbnail feature for the post list, archive, and search page, as well as the comment style, and WP-PagNavi for pagination.
Finally, I want to say that this theme, while only a month old (at the current time), surely puts other premium (paid) in an area of stark competition. This theme (combination) offers more than many other themes all contained in a simple, elegant, and clean design.

GREAT BUT,,,
What I don’t like about this theme is that there is no author’s name for each post. It gets less personal and will make your blog look like CNN.com

I really like the Athemia theme, and have based my website on it..
http://technicalarticles.co.uk/
The categories are n’t that difficult to add, and there’s various articles you can read to help sort this out. The author issue is a problem, I’ve tended to write my name at the bottom of the articles, but I think you’re right it is an issue, but there must be a plug-in or way around this problem by editing one of the PHP functions.
I had a problem with it when META Robots tags appeared and wrote an article about it, because they stopped my website being indexed by Google, but this was a problem with WordPress Privacy settings and not the theme itself.

Please contact the designer with specific issues that you may be having. I am simply sharing the themes with others, not specifically addressing the problems.
